Appendectomy
Assam's Premier Multi Superspeciality Hospital
About Appendectomy
Laparoscopic (keyhole) and open removal of an inflamed appendix, available 24/7.
Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix, a small pouch attached to the large intestine. It typically causes pain that starts around the navel and moves to the lower right abdomen, along with fever, nausea and loss of appetite. Without treatment the appendix can burst, which is dangerous.
Our surgeons remove the appendix, usually by laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery through small cuts, which means less pain and a faster recovery. Emergency surgery is available round the clock.
